Systematics Section Daskin, Ruziye [1], Yılmaz, Özer [1], Kaynak, Gonul [1]. A New subspecies of Paeonia from northwest Anatolia, Turkey. A new subspecies Paeonia mascula subsp. arasicola Kaynak, DaÅŸkın & Yılmaz subsp. nov. is described and illustrated from Uludag Mountain (Bursa, Turkey). The new subspecies is closely related to P. mascula subsp. bodurii and P. mascula subsp. hellenica but it is clearly different from these two subspecies by its pubescent and green stem, ternate or biternate upper leaves, elliptic, narrowly obovate to oblanceolate leaflets and its smaller and always white-pale pink flowers. A comparison with related subspecies in terms of their morphological characters and geographical distributions and an identification key to related subspecies are provided. Broader Impacts:
