Systematics Section Erdogan, Eyup [1], Akcicek, Ekrem [2], Tumen, Gulendam [1]. Comparative Morphological, Anatomical, and Ecological Investigations on two subspecies of Stachys germanica L. Growing in Turkey. The aim of this study was to compare and describe the morphology, anatomy, and ecology of two subspecies of Stachys germanica L. (Stachys germanica L. subsp. bithynica (Boiss.) R. Bhattacharjee and Stachys germanica L. subsp. heldreichii (Boiss.) Hayek). The results obtained with the comparative are presented on a table. The morphological features of various organs of the plant such as leaf, bracts, calyx, corolla, and seed are described in detail with their general views. The anatomical studies on cross-sections of root, stem, petiole, calyx, leaves, and surface sections of leaves were examined and are supported by photographs and well defined anatomical characters. Morphologically; Stachys germanica L. subsp. bithynica (Boiss.) R. Bhattacharjee differs from S. germanica L. subsp. heldreichii (Boiss.) Hayek, in its flowering stem and calyx with eglandular hairs; calyx teeth erect in fruit. There has been no observed distinctive difference in anatomical studies. Both of the taxa have bifacial leaves and diacytic stomata. The chemical and physical properties of the soil have been analyzed in ecological studies. Broader Impacts:
