Some threatened plants of Uludag Mountain, northwest Anatolia, Turkey.

This study includes endemic and rare plants of Uludag Mountain which is one of the most important areas in Turkey in terms of plant diversity, geomorphological and vegetation structure. At the end of our floristic studies in this mountain, we determined a total of 1308 infrageneric taxa (887 species, 286 subspecies, 130 varieties and 5 hyrids), belonging to 488 genera and 102 families. Moreover, 168 endemic plant taxa are determined, thirty one taxa of them are known only from Uludag Mountain. The rate of endemism is 12.84 %. The rare and endemic taxa of the mountain are listed with regard to their threat categories. The photos and distributions in the area of critically endangered ones are given. In addition, the main threats for plant diversity and the measures that could be taken in order to conservation this high diversity in the area were discussed.
